The Main Street Clubhouse Middle School members participated in Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service on January 19th. The event was hosted by City Year and sponsored by Disney, in which the members assisted with the painting of Los Angeles Academy Middle School (LAAMS). Read more... The BGCC is partnering with UPS to facilitate the UPS Road Code program.  In the Spring of 2012, Club members at Carson High School will have the opportunity to participate in this interactive and informative driving simulation program. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Carson's AIM (Achievement In Middle School) Program provides middle school youth with a broad array of age-appropriate programs and activities in the areas of Academic Success, Character & Leadership, and Healthy Lifestyles.  Read more...  The children at the Main Street clubhouse were the recipients of gifts from the employees of the Shell Pipeline Company on December 9th.  The Shell Toy Drive put a smile on the faces of 85 kids and young adults from the Boys and Girls Clubs of Carson by fulfilling all of their toy wish lists.  Read more...

The Carson Community Center was the site of the 18th Annual Dinner and Benefit Auction for the BGCC. Over $170,000 was raised for the 2,500 youth of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Carson. The Carson Community Conference Center is the site of the upcoming KidsFest 2011, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carson 18th Annual Dinner & Benefit Auction.  The No Limitsthemed event will be held on November 10th and will feature a rich array of live and silent auction items.  Performing vocalist and virtuoso multi-instrumentalist, Ellis Hall, is the greatly anticipated entertainment of the evening. On September 23, 2011, the BGCC took part in Nickelodeon's Worldwide Day of Play. Nickelodeon, the Alliance for a Healthy Generation, and the American Heart Association encouraged kids to "get up, get out, and go play" to combat the nation's leading public health threat- childhood obesity.  Read more...
