Javier's Story

He used to hang with the wrong crowd before he found the Club, now he is a Club leader and looking forward to attending college.  17 year old Carson High School 11^thgrader Javier Frayre has been a member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carson at Carson High School for the last 2 years. 

Before joining the Club, Javier had difficulty adjusting to life in High School and fell victim to peer-pressure many times during his freshman year.  “I used to skip school all the time, I just wasn’t motivated,” Frayre said.  Once he joined the Club, he began setting goals, building new friendships and understanding the importance of education.
