Who We Serve The BGCC serves over 1,400 youth from the City of
The youth we serve reflects the diversity of the Carson community. Membership last year included 49% Hispanic, 31% African American, 15% Asian/Pacific Islander, 3% Caucasian, and 2% Other. The majority of our youth are economically disadvantaged. Last year, 64% of our members were from households considered to be low or very low income according to federal guidelines.
The Boys & Girls Club of Carson is one of over 3,000 Boys & Girls Clubs nationwide. Upholding national guidelines for program content, delivery and quality, we are among a growing number of clubs providing programs to over three million youth across our country and in military bases overseas. The Boys & Girls Club Mission is: To inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. · A safe place to learn and grow
