How You Can Help...

Volunteers Needed
Boys & Girls Clubs of Carson (BGCC) is always looking for caring community members who want to contribute their time to better the community and surrounding areas. We are currently seeking assistance for the following projects.
 
Programs
BGCC is always looking for individuals or groups interested in assisting with programming at any of our eight sites. We run the following programs: sports and fitness, technology, the arts, health and life skills, leadership and character development, education and career development. Donations
 
Thank you for considering a contribution to Boys & Girls Clubs of Carson (BGCC). We rely on the support of the community to keep our programs and services available to more than one thousand youth in the city of Carson. There are many ways to support BGCC and every contribution has an impact on the lives of our members.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Carson accepts a variety of donations including:
    • Gifts of cash, checks, money orders, and new or near new items that can be used in our programs or administrative office.
    • Computers with Pentium III (or greater processors) in working condition.
    • Items with value that can be converted to cash for operating needs. Appraisals will be done on high value items before they are sold.
    • We also accept bequests, Charitable Gift Annuities, Charitable Remainder Trusts, Life Insurance, Appreciated Stock, and real estate (subject to appraisal outcomes).
    • Volunteer time & talent enable us to enhance our program offerings in any of our five core program areas: education and career development; character & leadership development; the arts; sports, recreation and fitness; life skills.     • For car donations, we recommend www.Cars4causes.netor other third-party processor. Donations of new vehicles suitable for Club use are accepted directly by the Boys & Girls Club of Carson.

      Matching Funds

        • Will your employer match your gift to BGCC? Many companies and organizations have Matching Gift programs that will double or even triple the amount of your gift, and thus the impact your donation, can have. It's easy, contact your Human Resources or Community Affairs office for details on how your company can join you in supporting BGCC.
          Clubs are always in need of sporting goods, books suitable for youth and teens, educational games/supplies, and art supplies.

          A thank you letter will be sent in response to any donation within two weeks of receipt of the donation.

          NOTE: Internal Revenue Service does not permit us to place a value on donated items. IRS regulations may be found at www.irs.gov/so you can determine the best method for your gift or consult with your tax advisor.
