Sign your child up today! Enrollment occurs year-round until capacity is reached. We never turn any family away because of inability to pay and scholarships are often available
Our programs offer compassion with action to help improve lives. We are always tracking, asking for feedback and getting input from Club members and their families to improve.
We want every student, parent and partner to understand that the road to a great future starts with a high school diploma. Invest in their future today.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Carson didn’t just leave an impact on me, they left me with pride. Without them I wouldn’t be the confident, reliable and diligent person I am today. Without the Club I would’ve never guessed that my great future started when I walked through those doors.
Nathan, Club Alum & 2019 Youth of the Year Finalist
Just like we welcome kids every day, the staff – we welcome each other. We thrive and grow together – that for me is unique about the Club.
Daisy Gomez, Youth Development Professional
At the Club the integrity and quality of the staff is amazing, They are experts in their field, and they’re smart and passionate about what we’re doing for kids. I’ve been a volunteer for many years and I’ve just gotten more involved.
Harriett Switzer, Volunteer & Step Up Scholarship Sponsor
Shy, quiet, worthless – were the words that best described me before stepping into the Club. Now, I’m seen as a leader amongst my peers.
Jannely, Club Alum & 2018 Youth of the Year finalist
I LOVE the Club!
Jalisa, 8th grade member
I love playing football and basketball at the Club because the coaches let us play and play. They do not yell or scream but tell us what to do to make ourselves better and improve.
Turhon, 7th grade member
Club staff pushed me to become a courageous, ambitious and resourceful individual. I aspire to help youth realize what the Club taught me – that no matter their obstacles and circumstances, their voices deserve to be heard.
Talisha, 11th grade member & 2018 Youth of the Year
My whole focus is creating quality experiences for our teens. When a young person comes to us, almost immediately you see improvements in both their academics and self-confidence. The Club builds on that self-confidence and offers guidance for success after high school – whether that’s applying to college, obtaining job skills or simply learning what it means to give back to the community. Our Club meets each teen wherever they are. That’s what it’s all about.
Jonathan Harris, High School Director
Club staff are approachable people and always give me advice when I need it most. They treat me like family, holding me to high standards and pushing me to achieve more each day.
Elvira, Club Alum & 2018 Youth of the Year Finalist
If you care about children, if you care about education, if you care about training, about minds, the Club is a solid investment of your resources.
Felix Whittaker, Club Alum & Board of Directors Treasurer
The genuine care the staff have is truly an inspiration. Shell is proud to play a role in helping the next generation of young people find their passion to gain skills and education that prepare them for a life well-lived.”
Lisa Barfield – Carson resident, Shell Terminal Manager & Board of Directors Secretary
The Boys & Girls Clubs were good to me when I was a kid. It’s good to give back. The Club can’t afford to pay for all the skills they need for a strong operation; having a solid board fills that gap.
Roger von Ting, Club Alum & Board of Directors Past President
What motivates me is that without the Club, youth would have nowhere else to go. We have a responsibility to take care of the most vulnerable kids in our society.
Lori Henderson, Board of Directors President
I’m so proud of our mission-based culture. Our Board of Directors, staff and volunteers constantly ask how we can serve more kids, more often with even better programming. Every year we set the goal higher.
Kim Richards, Boys & Girls Clubs of Carson CEO
Being at the Club has helped me reach my potential. I learned to not be afraid.
Shawna, 11th grade member
Turhon wants to go to UCLA. I just want him to follow his dreams and be successful. With the Club I know his dreams aren’t too big. They will happen.
